Hi, I'm Shannon—the creator of the MicroFARM Grow Towers. I’ve personally tested and refined these systems to ensure they are high-performing, practical, and easy to maintain. Unlike a lot of gimmicky systems for sale online with AI'd images of produce that wouldn't actually grow as shown, this system actually works. And the images here are from greens ACTUALLY GROWN from seed on this grow tower.
Maintenance is simple: just top up water and nutrients about once a week, a quick 5-minute task. You'll also want to empty the reservoir every few weeks, which can be done by attaching a hose to the pump and pumping it out to your garden, into a bucket, or to a nearby drain.
How much money's worth of microgreens can the tower produce?
At an average retail price of $30–$40 per pound of microgreens, each level of four 10x20" trays can generate about $620–$720/month growing varieties like pea shoots, Rambo radish, arugula, or broccoli. Even if you don't plan to sell them, if you incorporate them into your diet (they are packed with nutrition!) then you save on not having to buy them from the store.
Levels | Avg per Level | Estimated Monthly Revenue |
---|---|---|
2 | $670 | $670 × 2 = $1,340 |
3 | $670 | $670 × 3 = $2,010 |
4 | $670 | $670 × 4 = $2,680 |

Only plants that get too tall won't thrive long-term on the tower—but you can absolutely start them there and transplant later. The automated water/nutrient/air/light delivery system ensures vigorous root development and vibrant growth.
How long does it take to set up once it's delivered?

Setup takes under an hour! Plumbing is pre-assembled, and all parts well-designed and thought out, so you can plug and grow without any hassle—just fill the tank, install your trays, and you’re good to go.

How much does it cost to run?
This 3-level tower costs about $4/month to run. Your power costs may vary. The app actually tells you the kwh output of each outlet, both daily and the past 30 days, so it's fairly easy to calculate by adding all the outputs from each outlet, then multipliying it by the kwh cost in your area.
A 3-level setup includes 3 trays, 3 sets of lights, and 3 fans. The top shelf can be raised for taller crops. The trays are designed to be 12" from the bottom of the tray to the bottom of the grow lights above.
